EAFF is a network of farmers’ organisations in Eastern Africa. The Eastern African Farmers Federation was formed in 2001.
Its role is to voice legitimate concerns and interests of farmers of the region with the aim of enhancing regional cohesiveness and improving the socio-economic status of farmers. The Federation will also endeavor to promote the regional integration of farmers notably through trade. Finally, it enables the representation of farmers at the regional and international level.
Today, EAFF has member organisations in Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Eritrea. It remains open to other countries of the region.
